Reading Addiction

Another fun fact about me is that I have a reading addiction.  I love reading because it provides an escape from the real world.  This is especially nice when I am feeling stressed by the real world.  When that happens I can escape into another world to get away from my life and problems for a short while.  I have a book shelf full of unread books because I have a bad habit of buying them faster then I can read them.  This fact is not helped by the fact that I go through reading slumps where I just can not pick up a book to save my life.  Now that's not to say that I'm not reading during those slumps.  



When I can not make myself pick up a book then I read FanFiction.  I find it so incredibly interesting to see how other people who love a book, movie, or tv show recreate situations from that world or, even better, when they continue where the movie, book, or tv show left off.  Sometimes I am just not happy with the way things went or how they ended.  When that happens I can go and find a story that will help satisfy my craving for how I wished things had gone.

Between books and FanFiction I read every single day.  My plan is to post book reviews on this blog, along side the other randomness that will form this blog, in a hope to introduce people to books that I absolutely love, like, or manage to read but didn't care for.  My hope is that this will help inspire more people to read because in this day I find that there are many in the world who have not discovered the joys of reading...which is just incredibly sad to me.

Due to my love of reading I have been a werewolf, vampire, coyote shifter, descendant of Alice from Wonderland, a strong women reshaping the world after many apocalypses, a fae, a person struggling with cancer, a witch, a contender in the Hunger Games.  I've felt love and lose, happiness and anger.  All this because I have read books.

Authors are incredible people with the magical ability to create or recreate worlds with in the pages of the book so as soon as I open the book I am transported to that world.  I am transported into somebody else's body, feeling what they feel.  I will continue reading for the rest of my life because one life is just not enough for me.  I want to live as many lives as possible before I die.  Experience as much as possible before I die.  I hope that anyone who reads my book reviews will be inspired to do the same.
